Chatto® ROBUST ROOTS™ Protein & Keratin Reconstructor Deep Conditioner combines protein and keratin conditioning support with Biotin, Argan, Rosemary, Lemongrass, Sage, Ginger Root, Lavender, and Vitamin E.

The intensive formula is designed for hair weakened by heat, chemical processing, permanent color, excessive manipulation, dryness, environmental exposure, and long-term protective styling.

Protein and keratin help temporarily reinforce vulnerable areas along the hair shaft, while botanical oils and conditioning ingredients help prevent the hair from feeling unnecessarily hard or stripped. With proper use, the treatment helps damaged hair appear stronger, smoother, softer, and more manageable.

Complete Directions

1. Cleanse the hair with Step 1: Chatto® ROBUST ROOTS™ Repair & Rebuild Foaming Shampoo.
2. Rinse the shampoo thoroughly.
3. Gently squeeze excess water from the hair.
4. Divide the hair into manageable sections.
5. Apply the Protein & Keratin Reconstructor Deep Conditioner from roots to ends.
6. Concentrate additional conditioner on weak, porous, brittle, or damaged areas.
7. Distribute evenly using the fingers or a wide-tooth comb.
8. Detangle gently, beginning at the ends and working upward.
9. Cover the hair with a plastic processing cap.
10. Process under a warm hooded dryer or conditioning cap for 15–20 minutes.
11. Allow the hair to cool briefly.
12. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.
13. Follow with Step 3: Chatto® ROBUST ROOTS™ Foaming Remedy Leave-In Conditioner.

DO NOT LEAVE THIS DEEP CONDITIONER IN THE HAIR. RINSE THOROUGHLY.

Without Heat

If heat is unavailable, cover the hair with a plastic cap and leave the treatment on for approximately 20–30 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.

Recommended Frequency

Use once weekly during an active damaged-hair recovery routine.

Hair with mild damage may use the treatment every 7–14 days, depending on its condition and response.

Important Protein-Balance Note

Protein treatments should be used according to the hair’s needs. Using protein too frequently may cause some hair to feel stiff, dry, or less flexible.

If the hair begins to feel hard or unusually brittle, reduce the frequency and alternate with a moisture-focused conditioner.

Application by Hair Type

Curly, Coily and Textured Hair

Apply generously in sections, concentrating on weak ends, damaged areas, and places where breakage is most visible. Detangle gently before processing.

Straight and Fine Hair

Use a moderate amount and distribute evenly. Avoid excessive application near the scalp when the hair becomes easily weighed down.

Locs, Braids and Protective Styles

When the hair is loose and available for deep conditioning, apply carefully and rinse extremely well. Do not allow conditioner to remain trapped inside locs, braids, or dense sections.
