Many African-American women and men of African descent all over the world have stopped relaxing their hair and are wearing braids or conrows proudly. All have different reasons for doing so; damage, scalp problems, illness, hair loss, finances, curiosity or maybe simply being tired of wasting all day Saturday waiting for a long period of time at the beauty shop just to get a shampoo and wash.

• Don't do micro-braids if you have brittle, dry, and delicate edges
• Don't micro-braids hair if you have a relaxer
• Don't texturize hair without applying the right product

DO'S

• Advisable to have medium size braids.
• If you have relaxer and plan to have Braids, medium size cornrows or French braids for only up to 6 weeks will be the best healthiest growth
• Make sure to apply daily moisturizer to your braids
